The Design Process

 

Completed design packages include:

  • An 11" x 17" CAD track plan
  • A spec. sheet showing curve radii, parts quantities, etc.
  • Construction notes and commentary
  • Detailed track dimensions
  • Detailed elevations
  • Construction Tips

Here's how the whole process works:

  • I email the customer an initial questionnaire and design contract
  • After receiving the paperwork and payment back from the customer, the design process starts
  • I gather any additional information I need that was not in the questionnaire
  • I work up a conceptual sketch for the customer to review
  • Based on the customer feedback I receive, the concept is developed further and detail added
  • Once the design reaches the point that the customer is satisfied, the completed package is mailed
  • When the customer starts construction of their layout, I make myself available at no extra charge to answer any questions that may arise
